About me
Clay Stephenson is the Forestry Section Supervisor for the Forest Management Bureau of the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. He and his team maintain the DNRC’s silviculture, forest mensuration, and sustained yield calculation programs. His professional interests include timber cruising, forest planning, and the integration of remote sensing and field data to support resource management. Clay has been with the DNRC since 2014 implementing the Trust Lands forest management program in multiple capacities from the unit level to the bureau. He holds a B.A. in Forestry: Resource Management from the University of Montana and an M.S. in Geography from Northern Arizona University.
