About me
Allen Armstrong is a GIS Professional with a background in GIS consulting, project planning and implementation, project management and partnership development, and data intensive multi-disciplined GPS/GIS projects. He graduated from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology in Butte, Montana with a degree in Geological Engineering and has worked in the GIS profession since 1988 starting off with DOS based PC ARC/INFO.
Allen has always had a strong, professional desire as a public employee to develop and improve operations that truly make a difference for the users, while also improving the efficiency of government operations. As the DOI Bureau of Land Management, Montana/Dakotas GIS Program Manager, his program carries on the BLM mission: Sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
